Marco Sadeler ( 1614 - 1660)

Marco Sadeler (1614–1660)
This series capitalised on the renewed interest in the monuments of
classical antiquity which reached its climax in sixteenth century Rome.
Marco Sadeler, whose name appears on the plates, was an engraver and
print seller in Prague in the early 1600’s and probably the nephew of
Aegidius.
