Rare engraving of Cadigal people of the Botany Bay area who witnessed the arrival of the First Fleet and six days later the departure of La Perouse's two ships.

Biography:

Robert Cleveley (1747 - 1809)

Third brother of James Cleveley who was famous for painting the death of Cook. This engraving is from the first account of the infant colony at Sydney Cove from information collected by Governer Phillip.
