Description:

September 1921 issue of one of the rarest Art Deco fashion magazines published in Paris.

With 10 pochoir illustrations, including one double page and numerous adverts.

The magazine Art Goût Beauté was launched in early 1920 under the title Les Succès d’Art Goût Bon Ton. It then changed its name to Art Goût Beauté  in November 1921, taking the initials of the publisher, the house of fabrics “Successors of Albert Godde Bedin“. Each issue contained superb pochoir illustrations of the designs of the great fashion houses including: Bernard, Callot sisters, Doeuillet, Doucet, Drecoll, Jenny, Martial and Armand, Philippe and Gaston, Poiret, Premet, Worth as well as fabric samples

In the 1932 the last issue of the magazine appeared caused by the Great Depression and the high cost of producing the pochoir illustrations.

The magazine Art Goût Beauté was launched in the fall of 1920 under the title Les Succès d’Art Goût Bon Ton then adopted in November 1921 the name of Art Goût Beauté  [Art Taste and Beauty] which took the initials of the publisher, the house of fabrics “Successors of Albert Godde Bedin”.

This magazine owes its fame to the numerous in-text illustrations stencilled that presented the models of the great fashion houses including: Bernard, the Callot sisters, Doeuillet, Doucet, Drecoll, Jenny, Martial and Armand, Philippe and Gaston, Poiret, Premet, Worth, etc.

In the 1930s, the magazine finally changed format before ending in 1933. Each edition became a collector’s item and it is now almost impossible to find a complete series even in the specialized libraries.
