Biography:

Margaret Roscoe

Botanical artist best known under her maiden name of Lace. Robert Havell’s exquisite aquatints demonstrate his mastery as a natural history illustrator. This image is from an early edition of Floral Illustrations of the Seasons, with much finer hand colouring than the later issues.
