An Authentic sketch of the assassination of Sir William McNaghten by the hand of the Treacherous Akhbar Khan during the treaty of the 23rd Dec, 1841 on the Plain towards Seeah Sung, within half a mile of Cantonments at Cabul and sudden seizure of Captains Lawrence, Trevor and Mackenzie, by the followers of the Khan attended by Mahomet Schah Khan, Mahomet Khan, Azad Khan, Khoada Bux Khan, an aged Mollah & co…with Sir Williams small body guard (about 18 men) in the distance galloping back to cantonments… for reinforcement…under a galling fire from the Chilzees, killing several in the retreat.
