Fine Art Nouveau 4to bound photograph album with a gilt clasp stamped DRGM. Comprising of 16 thick pages, bound in full dark blue Morocco, decorated with a full length black and gold embossed Art Nouveau motif on the front cover and the rear cover with an embossed patchwork of embossed diagonal squares framed with a further rectangular pattern of embossing. The inside covers richly embossed with a 10mm diagonal gilt pattern and the endpapers and the inside board with a botanical pattern.

The intitials on the clasp, ‘D.R.G.M.”, stand for Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster, meaning that the design or function of an item was officially registered for a period of three years inside all of the Germany states.The  D.R.G.M. was set up in 1891.
