Description:
Badly beaten at the battle of Ligny Blucher managed to lead his troops against the French right wing at Waterloo and helped seal the Allied victory over Bonaparte. In this print Bulcher is holding a dog with the head of Napolean and it’s tail between it’s legs. Near him a small boat with lies at the edge of the water in which a man climbs in with a sack on his shoulder inscribed ‘20.000 a year’. In the distant is the Island of Elba, above which fly carrion birds.
