Description:

First edition of Robert Morden’s map of Cambridgeshire. Morden is best known for this series of English county maps based on Camden’s &quotBritannia&quot which he first published in 1695. These maps were based on new information from gentlemen of each county, and were newly engraved. Each had a decorated cartouche, and showed numerous place names. The copper engravings all feature a decorative cartouche and display considerble detail of numerous place names. A highly collectable series for those interested in great mapmakers and English heritage. CBRI
