Biography:

Alfred Chantrey Corbould (1852-1920)

Book and magazine illustrator; born in London, a member of the large Corbould family of painters. Studied with his maternal uncle Charles Keene; from 1871 contributed to Punch, specializing in fox-hunting scenes; exhibited RA 1879–87; also contributed to the Graphic and was sent to illustrate the Russo-Turkish war 1877.

He was a member of Royal Society of British Artists from 1893.
