Description:
Scarce map of part of the Hunter Valley from the first county atlas of New South Wales, with panels of text listing rivers, towns and creeks from the first county atlas published in the colony by George Bishop (act. 1857-?). The maps were compiled from ‘the very latest plans in the Land’s Department‘, and laid down the extent of the known settled areas in the 1870’s.
The map is orientated with north to the right and extends from Colo to Leamington showing the old Bulga Road.
From Basch & Co, Atlas of the settled counties of New South Wales.
