Description:
Detailed map of the South Pole showing the tracks of Cook’s first voyage and those of Bouganville. Zatta’s maps relating to Australia are some of the first to include Cooks discoveries made on his historic voyage on the Endeavour in which he discovered and charted Australia’s east coast and New Zealand. The Italian inscription on the map notes that the advantage of viewing the southern regions on this projection is that all the discoveries made on the recent voyages can be seen.
