Scarce large scale map showing Australia within a southeast Asian context and prior to the gold discoveries. In central Australia Lake Torrnes is shown in a "horse-shoe" shaped Lake Torrens, with a note stating, "Sturt’s furthest Sep. 1843". New Zealand’s north island is named "New Ulster" while the south island is named, "New Munster". New Guinea’s southeastern end is named, "Pandoras Land".
