George H. Nobbs was the Chaplain of Pitcairn island.

Pitcairn is famously known as the island the mutineers from HMS Bounty, under
the command of William Bligh and landed on January 15, 1790, following
the mutiny off the island of Tofua, Tonga on 28 April, 1789.
