Designed by Mr Wilcox, Master Shipwright of the Dockyard. Length overall: 252′. Length on upper deck: 220′. Length of keel for tonnage: 179′ 7&quot. Breadth, for tonnage: 57′ 4&quot. Moulded breadth: 56′ 6&quot. Extreme breadth: 58′ 2&quot. Depth of hold: 23′ 11&quot. Burthen, 2,658 tons NM. (NM means ‘New Measurement’ as distinct from the ‘Old Measurement’ method of establishing a vessel’s tonnage.)
