Jules David (1808 – 1892)

Jules David was a painter and lithographer who exhibited in the Paris Salon of 1834. He collaborated with the publisher Adolphe Boubaud on Le Moniteur de la Mode and drew all of the 2,600 fashion plates for this periodical from 1843 to his death in 1892. He also was the main contributor to Le Journal Des Dames et des Demoiselles.
