Description:

Very detailed c.20th pastoral map showing the tick fence along the New South Wales/Queensland border which was completed in 1906 and after the first discovery of cattle ticks in the Kyogle, Woodenbong, Unumgar and Rosebery district of northern New South Wales (inland from Byron Bay) in March 1909. Large areas were placed in quarantine and included in the Kyogle Quarantine District.

The map includes; towns, goldfields, pastoral holdings, areas sold and leased, roads, tracks and telegraph lines.
