Robert Max Boyd (1915-1988)
Born at Gayndah, Queensland and although he had an interest in art at an early age was unable to obtain training in the country. Joined the oil industry aged twenty, spent four years in the AIF in the Pacific areas. Moving to he studied under with Henry A. Hanke, Alan Hansen and later at the Graham Inson studio. He was an exhibiting member of the Royal Art Society.
