Rare portrait of Nimblefoot winner of the 1870 Melbourne Cup by Woodhouse. Plate V from, Woodhouse’s, A record of the Melbourne Cup : giving a full account of every race for the Cup, with portraits of all the winners.

Frederick Woodhouse was the pre-eminent sporting artist of his time, he became best known for painting every Melbourne Cup winner for more than thirty years, from the first in 1861.
