Superbly decorated double hemisphere world map surrounded by garlands of flowers and fruit which is enclosed by an engraved framed border. Although the map was published eleven years after Cooks accounts were released, Australia is shown according to the discoveries of Abel Tasman on his first 1642-3 and second 1644 voyages.

Venetian cartographer based in Venice. He was most active in the second half of the C18th and published maps based on the leading French cartographers of the time such as De L’Isle, Vaugondy, Janvier and Jalliot.
