Description:

Early c.19th map of South Australia made for prospective emigrants to the colony. Shows the location of Adelaide and includes an inset showing the relative position of the state to the rest of Australia. Based on the Plan of a company to be established for the purpose of founding a colony in Southern Australia, Ridgway and Sons. 1831. 

South Australia was the only colony founded without the use of convict labour.
