Description:

Rare C18th detailed map of Paris, with a superb decorative title at top right. The map extends from the Village of Vaugirard now part of the 15th arrondissement to Rue de Charonne in the 11th arrondissement and at centre, Isles de la Cite.                                                                     

Mapmaker:

Jean Lattre (fl. 1743 – 1793) 

Lattre was a Paris based mapmaker, engraver, and map publisher active in the mid to late 18th century. Lattre was prolific publishing on his own account and with other mapmakers, maps, globes, and atlases, including Janvier, Bonne and Delamarche.
