Description:
Iron paddle steamer built by J. Laird, Birkenhead and purchased February 1854 by Australian SN Co. She ran ashore at Narrabeen, north of Sydney and remained there for nigh on two years. The current place now bears her name and is called Collaroy Beach. From unsuccessful efforts to float her she was sold at auction March 1881 and finally refloated September 9th, 1884. The southern end of Collaroy Beach is named after her. From the original edition of the Illustrated Sydney News.
