Biography:
Helen Farmer (1888–1970)
Painter and etcher who studied under Sydney Long and was taught the intaglio printmaking technique by Sir Will Ashton. Regarded as one of the principal women etcher-painters during Australia’s Golden Age of Etching (1920/1930). Reference National Gallery of Australia.
