Description:

Very rare detailed large panorama of Sydney Harbour taken from Holtermann’s Tower (Shore school) looking south east. Bernard Otto Holtermann built his famous mansion in Lavender Bay from the discovery of a huge gold nugget at Hill End.

Christ Church can be seen on the left, Milson’s Point is at centre. Fort  Macquarie at the end of Bennelong Point can be seen on the opposite shore and just behind, old Government House. On the far right the is tip of Dawes Point.
