Description:

The company commenced operations in 1863 as The City Bank, Pitt Street, Sydney and was incorporated in 1864. A fire destroyed the bank in 1890 and the stone facade of the Bank was purchased by Charles Hoskins who removed it stone by stone to his building site on The Boulevarde where it was re-assembled to form the front part of his residence.
