Biography:

Frank Dadd (1851-1929)

Dadd was born in London on March 28, 1851. He studied at the Royal Academy Schools and the Royal College of Art. He won a silver medal while at the Royal Academy Schools for drawing from life. He worked as an illustrator for the Illustrated London News, then at The Graphic. Specialising in historical and genre paintings, he illustrated several books. Frank Dadd died on March 7, 1929 at Teignmouth, Devon.
