Biography:
William Lionel Wylie 1851 – 1931
Marine painter, illustrator and etcher, Wylie studied at the RA Schools and learnt the art of boat building. His pictures of Shipping in the Thames are amongst the best and most accurate that exist. He was also a marine artist on the Graphic & was made Marine Painter to the Royal Yacht Squadron.
