Cecil West Darley (1841 - 1929)

At 21 years of age came to Sydney and was appointed Government Resident Engineer for Hunter River District and Newcastle Harbour Works. Later, appointed Engineering-Chief of N.S.W. Harbours & Rivers & Irrigation Department and for a short time was appointed President of Sydney Water Supply and Sewerage Board. On retiring he was appointed Engineer-in-Chief of N.S.W. Public Works Dept. Finally appointed Inspecting and Consulting Engineer for N.S.W. Govt.
