Superb manuscript dedication to David Rutherford 1866 from Robert and Cecilia Blaikie September 1866.

This is Sands and Kenny’s second book with illustrated views of Victoria. The first which had been published in 1857 showed much of the immediate effects since the discovery of gold in 1851. Only five years later the numerous engravings clearly illustrate where much of that wealth was invested. Oblong 4to, 44 steel engraved plates in the style of S.T.Gill, superb presentation binding in full maroon calf, 5 gilt tooled bands with decorations on spine, elaborate gilt and blue decoration to front and back covers and tooled on edges of inside covers.
