Description:

Rare view of Watsons Bay with fisherman drying their nets in the foreground at the northern end of the bay and looking towards Dunbar House and beyond to the right, Our Lady Star of the Sea. Dunbar House house was built in 1837 and became the Marine Hotel in 1854 until it was changed by the new licensee Henry Billings, to the Greenwich Pier Hotel in 1859 until 1878. The pier can be seen that ran from the hotel out into the bay. From: The Illustrated Sydney News.
