Description:
The finest c.19th colour printed engravings made of New Zealand subjects, from the very rare account recording the voyage of La Coquile under the command of Louis Isidore Duperrey (1786-1865) and his deputy Jules Dumont D’Urville during the years 1822-1825. La Coquille visited the Bay of Islands, New Zealand from 3rd to 17th April 1824.
