Description:
Scarce lithograph of the Waratah the state emblem of New South Wales. Found in the coast and mountain districts of New South Wales, from the Hunter River in the north to the Clyde and Braidwood district in the south. There are few early engravings and lithographs of the Waratah, due to the fact that the early botanists failed recognise that it required specific soil types for success.
