Description:

Wah! Wah! kyse t’heek donon ekhee hyn Lal rung lugaone se our bhee khoob ho jaege. Wah! Wah! how beautiful & true to the life & both so like! If the white one were but painted red it would be perfect. From accompanying letterpress description “On Sundays, and Certain Hindoo or Moosulman holidays, the Courts and Kucherrees are closed, and the Rajas and men of Rank take such occassions to pay their respects. In this image the master is rolling up in his fingers “beetle-leaf”.
