Description:

Scarce map of the achievements of the Venetian Republic by Henri Abraham Chatelain (1684-1743).

The map is superbly embellished with coat of arms at top left and lower right and records the military achievements of the Republic. The diagonal map at centre shows the Adriatic Sea with Italy and the Balkans and the Republic of Venice at top. Included are two extensive keys of cities and text describing the military achievements of the Republic of Venice.
