Famous for his three voyages in the following ships Coquille under Duperrey in 1822, Astrolabe in full command in 1826-29 & Astrolabe & Zelle 1826-29. After Capt. Cook d’Urville made perhaps the greatest contribution to the mapping of Australia and New Zealand.
