Located within the Royal Botanic Gardens, Government House was completed in 1876 and serves as the official residence of the Governor of Victoria. Designed in the Italianate style by William Wardell, one of Australia’s most prominent architects, the building is considered one of the finest examples of 19th-century architecture in the country.
