Pair of rare maps on the one sheet by Lewis Gordon, the State Government Surveyor for the proposed roads from Eden, Pambula to Monaro.
Gordon’s Bay was named after Lewis Gordon who was granted three parcels of land. He named the land Cliff-Brook which he sold in 1859 to local businessman John Thompson. It covered more than 14 acres including the bay itself.
