Map of the journey from Peking to the Russian border city of Blagovestchensk by Archimandrite Palladius, a Russian monk and sinologist, who headed the Russian Orthodox mission in China and conducted ethnographic and linguistic research there for more than three decades. 

Includes major river systems, the eastern part of the Great Wall and a key with measurements in English, Geographical, Russian and Chinese units.

Biography:

Edward Weller (1819-1884)

Very active English cartographer of which little is known of his personal  life although he produced a number of important maps and was elected a member of the Royal Geographical Society.
