Description:
Very rare colonial engraving of the C19th Rockhampton Post Office. Built in 1866 with a decorative wooden verandahs. The building was designed by Colonial Architect Charles Tiffin but was originally planned for the Maryborough Post Office. Due to the cost of materials exceeding the budget for the post office originally planned for Rockhampton, the plans for the post offices were swapped.
