Finely engraved chart shows the wind and currents. Shows Australia and New Zealand, according to Tasman and with pre Cook east coast. Left and right box gives explanations of the various winds. Prepared by Buy de Mornas, who was professor of geography and history. Desnos was a map publisher in Paris, from Atlas Methodique et Elementaire de Geographie et d’Histoire Dedie a Monsieur le President Henault. Bordered with Rocco style frame with garlands and mapping instruments. This superb border decoration is only found in the deluxe edition of this atlas.
