“Record” Chambers, Collins Street West.

Scarce, c.19th hand coloured engraving of Record Chambers at 479–481 Collins Street, Melbourne.

It was designed by J A B Koch and built by G B Leith in 1887 for the printing and publishing firm of McCarron, Bird & Co. It was named after the Australasian Insurance and Banking Record, “The Record”, pre-eminent amongst insurance and banking journals in Australia.
