The Fullers built the St James Theatre and building on the site of the Sydney Girls’ High School which opened on 26 March 1926 with No, No, Nanette; Sir Benjamin scored a hit in 1928 by paying Gladys Moncrieff £150 a week, despite John’s protests, to star in Rio Rita.
