Biography:
Sir Nicholas Doringy (1657-1746)
Born in Paris, Doringy was invited to England by King George I to engrave Raphael’s cartoons then at Hampton Court. In this series he collaborated with G.B. Rossi, the Roman family of print sellers to depict famoussculptures. A superb and rare series.
