Description:

Sydney artist and etcher who exhibited regularly with the Painters and Etchers and Graphic Arts Society of Australia. She studied etching under Sid Long and his influence is seen in all her works. The iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge was a huge symbol of hope during the worlds worst economic recession, the great Depression 1929-1939. It also was depicted by many Sydney famous Sydney artists during and after it’s construction. It is also important to remember that it’s relative scale to the cities buildings in the 1930’s was far greater than it is today.
