Description:

This large classic Jackson Sydney harbour painting taken from Kirribily, Cremorne Point on the left and Bradley’s Head next without HMAS Sydney mast which was erected in 1934. Looking towards Rose bay and beyond to Dover Heights with Shark Island on the right. Painted on canvas which Jackson had great difficulty in obtaining once the outbreak of the war began due to the demand by the army for canvas for tents. An excellent early Jackson.
