Description:

Another superb marine aquatint of three schooners of the Waterford Line, off Hook Lighthouse which is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world and marks the entrance to Waterford Harbour, Ireland. Schooners from Waterford were the first to break the tea monopoly held by London, by bringing over 2,000 chests of tea directly from China to London in 1822. Printed on dated 1834 Whatman watermarked paper.
