Description:

Depicts William the IV holding a “Plan..Bridge over Canal for..Public” under his arm with the Duke of Wellington, heading to Holland House which belonged to Charles Fox a prominent Whig. The carriage-road between Storey’s Gate and Buckingham Gate was, until 1828, open only to the Royal Family and to the Hereditary Grand Falconer, the Duke of St. Albans. On Whatmann paper with Turkey Mill watermark.
