Jakob van der Schley ( 1715 - 1779)

Schley was a Dutch draughtsman and engraver. He studied under Bernard Picart (1673-1733). His greatest work was the numerous engraved portraits, views and maps for most of the engraved plates in the Prevost’s, Abbe., “Histoire générale des voyages”.
