Description:

Pair of comical original pen and ink, with water colour drawings relating to the suffragette movement by Edouard Covillot signed lower right, depicting the figure of Cupid.

In the first he is at a front door holding a bag in one hand and arrows in the other and he wonders, “What luck, this time!”

In the second having been rejected he is shown rubbing his eyes and states,  ‘Confound it! Another Suffragette’.

Both are tipped onto a thick brown card.
