A View of the Fort of Peteter.

Rare c.18th aquatint by William Hodges (1744-1797) of Fort of Patihata, during his stay with Governor General Warren Hastings at Chunar in 1781. The fort of Patihata was at that time being held by the rebellious Nawab Chait Singh, but British forces attacked and reclaimed the fort. Chait Singh fled west to Gwalior.
